About.

Our team is here to take the weight off your shoulders. With an advanced understanding of how the private aviation industry functions, you'll be surprised at how effortless One Stop Aviation makes the entire process for you and your team.

Our Background

Alan started One Stop Aviation with hopes of making buying and selling a private airplane easier and maybe even more fun.

The aircraft acquisition process is so highly specialized that there are very few people in the country who understand the entire package and know its players well. We’ve done this for long enough to understand the ins and outs completely.  Additionally, we’ve built close relationships with all of our vendors over the course of thousands of deals so we know who we want on the bus (or plane) and which seats we want them in.

Our Mission

To make buying and owning your airplane seem easy.

Our Vision

We strive to streamline and innovate the process of buying private aircraft and to provide a consolidated suite of aircraft ownership services.
Having worked with Alan and his team on over two dozen projects, both as an Aircraft Manager and Buyer's Agent, I can say without hesitation that Alan's expertise, industry engagement, and broad and deep industry relationships deliver unmatched value to his clientele. I have personally watched Alan lead multi-disciplinary teams to achieve elegant and high-value solutions to complex problems for our clients, and frequently look to him for advice and guidance on issues ranging from acquisitions and sales, to operational administration, insurance, employment law, and tax issues."

CEO

After 20 years as a transactional aviation attorney, where Alan helped people buy and sell thousands of private aircraft, he is now a “recovering lawyer” as he uses his expertise to help making buying and owning planes fun and efficient. He is comfortable with a full range of transactions, ranging from straightforward purchases to complex purchases including atypical deal structures, back-to-backs, international acquisitions, and anywhere else he can combine his creativity and expertise to pull a rabbit out of a hat. Alan has a knack for problem solving and fixing deals that are teetering on falling apart.

Alan prides himself on his collaborative approach to deals.  Drawing from his deep-rooted relationships within the industry, he is able to build a remarkable acquisition team customized for each client’s needs.  Alan uses this network to provide a streamlined approach to quarterbacking the aircraft purchase and providing a seamless purchase experience.

Alan understands what the person in the back of the plane wants and the issues that are important to the people who report to them.  With his extensive experience, it became clear that there was a much better way to serve the owner and their representatives, both in the purchase of the plane and going forward through the lifecycle of the plane.

Alan earned a juris doctor from Southern Methodist University School of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Christian University.  He is a member of the National Business Aviation Association tax committee and serves on the board of directors for the Pacific Northwest Business Aviation Association. Alan is a regular presenter at national and local private aviation conferences and has also been an expert witness on aircraft transactional issues.
